I can’t really complain about much – except that I still haven’t gotten the exercise thing on the move. I’ve got no excuses, tired, lazy, not in the mood, all of the above – but I know I’ve got to do something about it because it’s taking up so much space in my thoughts which sucks. I want to look better than I do – that’s all. I’ve never really had much of a belly before but damn – I can’t really say that these days. I want it gone but I’ve simply got to obtain the will somehow and really push myself past these limits I seem to have, both imagined and real.
On other fronts – I have been experimenting with makeup and loving my new looks.
I guess my secret strategy has been keep eyes focused on my face cause the bod is under construction – know what I’m sayin’?
On the nail front – ya’ll know I do my nails every week without fail – sometimes my toes can last up to three weeks but then I’ve got to spend like two hours fixing them up after that – Not ideal but must be done! In any case – I don’t know about you – but my nails (on my hands) always chip. Of course this is if they survive past the point of color. They take forever to dry – even though I use the quick dry and I have a hard time waiting without messing them up. I’ve got the patience of a prairie dog~ Even she’s looking at her nails like Lawd, Geed, Fada, not again!
So what I tried this week (mind you its only Monday) is that after I clean and shape, I then use coat of nail repair. Why nail repair you ask? Somehow that’s the only thing I can use as a base-coat that won’t chip or peel away! Who knew? I then let them dry before adding two coats of nail polish. I waited another ten ten minutes then put a coat of Sally Hansen Big Shiny Nails topcoat – then proceeded to chill and watch 40 minutes of The Good Wife while waiting for them to dry completely. Now I must say that was effective. My nails look great, and did not get messed up. Now I just have to wait and see if they last the week. I’m crossing my fingers. I see all of these chicas on the train with their perfectly manicured, shiny, polished nails and I must say it’s always been a source of envy. Hopefully I’ve found the secret now. Time will tell.
On the hair front: my hair looks more moisturized than it has for awhile. This year in particular I’ve been driven to having my hair not appear so dried out – it’s really a terrible look up close. So my new solution has been Argan Oil. I found a small bottle of on Amazon! I apply three droppers full of the oil into my conditioner. (Right now I’m using Suave conditioner) – I mix it with my fingers and apply to hair and scalp from root to tip after thoroughly rinsing out the shampoo. I leave the conditioner in for at least 20 minutes while I do other things and when I’m ready to get out, I comb through my hair and rinse it all out. After towel-drying for a minute or two, I then apply a few droppers full of the Argan oil onto my palm and then pat throughout my hair and scalp. I then put a little of the Olive Oil Heat Protectant Syrum throughout my hair and scalp and voila, I get healthy, shiny hair. I’ve tried this for about a month now and I really recommend “the treatment.”

On the writing front – really loving my Surface – makes my life so much easier when it comes to anything I need a computer for. Dev and I were just using it last night to pick a few items for her Wedding Registry.
In any case – I’m so thrilled because I’ve been wracking my brain for the past two months trying to figure out how I should end The Tumble without being cliche or re-writing scenarios that have been done to death. Well, while I was sitting on the train on the way to work – my brain puzzled it OUT! Yes I finally figured out which direction I should go and I tried it out on my sailor, broke it down for him and he LOVED it! Yay! Now – nothin’ to it but to do it~(which I am as I want to release this book in 2017!)
On another writing front – I finally got some $$$ together to do my Slipper 2 Project. I’m keeping it hush hush for now but yes I’ve got a Slipper 2 project in the works. Spoke to my illustrator, Phoenix Chan and she will have the preliminary sketches done sometime after Thanksgiving – so with a whole lot of blessings – I will be able to release 2 books in 2017 bringing my total literary works to 5 – and I might even release The Slipper and 7th Heaven Screenplays that I did eons ago and bring that bad boy up to the lucky number 7! Woo hoo! God willing.
So that’s pretty much all that’s going on with me, for the most part my family is doing well and so are my friends – thank God.
